The Town of West Tisbury was founded in 1892 and is located in Dukes County. West Tisbury is the countrified heart of Martha’s Vineyard which prides itself on its numerous rural qualities.
The community contains very fertile farm land. In West Tisbury you will find a llama farm and a strawberry farm among many others. Because the town is so rich in soil the community holds an agricultural fair each August.
